Publication Ethics
This publication ethics is a statement of the code of ethics of all parties involved in the publication process of the Jurnal Yudisial, namely the chair and members of editors, peer reviewers, and article authors. This ethical guideline is made so that the publication of articles in the Jurnal Yudisial is carried out ethically (good and appropriate) and responsibly and complies with applicable legal norms. Based on the Regulation of the Head of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences Number 5 of 2014 concerning the Code of Ethics for Sciencetific Publications, publication ethics, in essence, upholds three ethical values in publications, namely :
Neutrality, that is, free from conflicts of interest in the management of publications;
Justice, i.e., granting authorship rights to those who are entitled as authors/writers; and
Honesty which is free from duplication, fabrication, falsification, and plagiarism in publications.
Therefore, all parties involved in the Jurnal Yudisial's publication process must adhere to the ethics of this publication according to their respective roles.
Author
- The author submits an original manuscript, not a copy.
- The auth must maintain the truth, benefits, and meaning of the information conveyed through the submitted manuscript so that it is not misleading.
- The author must uphold the rights, opinions, or findings of others. Therefore, reference or review of the rights, opinions, or findings of others relating to the article's manuscript must be carried out and the source of the information must be mentioned.
- The author must be fully aware not to commit scientific violations, be it fabrication (creating fictitious data), falsification (changing the data as desired), and plagiarism (taking other people's words or sentences, or texts without providing references to their citations)
- The author must convey the information in the manuscript using the standard language method.
- The author must ensure all the names are included as writers, if more than one auth or has contributed to the writing of the script (maximum three authors).
- Authors should pay attention to the journal's policies and publication ethics and follow the Jurnal Yudisial's writing guidelines.
- The author only submits manuscripts sent to the Jurnal Yudisial to other publication media, except after a decision has been made to return them to the author.
- Authors are collectively responsible for their articles. Therefore, authors should carefully examine the submitted manuscript at each stage and part of it to ensure the methods, anlyses, and findings are accurately reported.
- The author improves the manuscript of the article according to the advice of peer reviewers and editors.
- The author must notify the editor immediately if it finds errors in a submitted, received, or published manuscript.
Chief Editor
- The editor-in-chief shall process the incoming manuscript and notify the author of the correspondence in the ongoing stages.
- The editor-in-chief assesses whether the manuscript is eligible to continue in the editing process based on journal policy, publication ethics, and writing instructions for the Jurnal Yudisial.
- The editor-in-chief distributes the edits to the editorial board members, considering the scientific field and performance burden.
- The editor-in-chief selects and appoints peer reviewers based on their expertise.
- The editor-in-chief decides the feasibility of publishing the manuscript based on the records of the peer reviewer.
- The editor-in-chief should avoid conflicts of interest in processing the manuscript based on the records of the peer reviewer.
- The editor-in-chief guarantees the confidentiality of the manuscript of the article at the time of editing except for academic or scientific purposes and does not abuse it for personal gain.
- The editor-in-chief is responsible for the publication process of the Jurnal Yudisial.
Board of Editors
- Editors correct and assess manuscripts as worthy of peer review of their substance based on journal policies, publication ethics, and writing instructions for the Jurnal Yudisial.
- Editors correct manuscript by paying attention to scientific and standard writing methods.
- Editors ensure that citations and reference writing are in accordance with the style of the Jurnal Yudisial.
- Editors should avoid conflict of interest in correcting article manuscripts due to gender, ethnicity, religion, race and class identity.
- The editor guarantees the confidentiality of the manuscript of the article at the time of editing except for academic or scientific purposes and does not misuse it for personal gain.
Peer Reviewers
- Peer reviewers examine the article's manuscript and provide comments on its content based on journal policies, publications ethics, and writing instructions for the Jurnal Yudisial.
- The peer reviewer assesses the possibility of publication of the manuscript of the article being examined (accepted, aceppted with minor revision, accepted with major revision, or rejected) based on journal policy, publication ethics, and writing instructions of the Jurnal Yudisial.
- Peer reviewers should avoid conflicts of interest in examining and assessing article manuscripts based on gender, ethnicty, religion, race and class identity.
- The peer reviewer guarantees the confidentiality of the article manuscript at the time of review except for academic or scientific purposes and does not abuse it for personal gain.
